Michael Meisel joined MedStar Health in May 2020. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Towson University, and a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University Maryland. Michael is an active member of the Maryland Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP).
Mr. Meisel has over ten years of experience in not-for-profit healthcare, specifically in regional acute care delivery systems. He began his healthcare career with the University of Maryland Medical System where he spent time in Financial & Capital Planning and Corporate Budgeting. He then transitioned to a role in Operations Improvement where he served in various capacities advancing the financial and strategic initiatives of the organization.
He is a demonstrated leader in strategic financial planning and is driven by the need to translate complex financial data into meaningful, understandable and actionable business objectives in order to promote the financial wellbeing of the organization.
