Walk for the Health of It
Walking is a great way to get the health benefits of cardiovascular exercise without straining your bones and joints. Studies have shown that walking daily can significantly decrease a person's risk of heart attack and stroke, helps control blood pressure, strengthens bones and joints, lowers the risk of breast cancer and type II diabetes, decreases anxiety and depression, increases energy, and improves the quality of sleep. That's quite a bit of benefit for the price of a pair of walking shoes.
How Mall Walkers Works
Participants walk as much as they like in the mall's secure, well-lit, and climate controlled environment. Free blood pressure screening and health information is available on site. And monthly guest speakers keep walkers up to date on the latest health topics. So come walk for the health of it; it's simple, it's free, and it can help you maintain your good health for years to come.
